| China is a large agricultural country, villages accounted for the vast majority of thetotal land area and population. in the long term of the development, villages chronicledthe history, and carrying the tradition of agricultural society in China. However, with thedevelopment of the society, geographical features of the village are dying out, as well asthe diverse looks. Several preserved traditional villages are also at stake. Yangliu village,known as the location of the largest and most complete dwellings of Ming and QingDynasty in Nanjing, is more worth researching. Now in yangliu village, a large number ofancient dwellings are idle and abandoned, and several features which can reflect thetraditional culture has disappeared. So these preserved ancient pattern of houses andspatial form of the village is more worth our study and attention. Meanwhile, it’s also aworth thinking problem that how to harmonize the relationship between the morphologyof new built dwellings group and ancient villages.Under this background, the paper selected Yangliu village, Jiangning district as theresearch object. Trying to study the various components of the environment of the villageby using analysis and other research methods, and fully understand spatial form inYangliu village. Then summarize and identify the law of village development, andrecommend an appropriate development strategy for the issue that village developmentcannot meet the demands of modern life.This paper begins with a theoretical research, focuses on research methods, meaning,object and purpose, and provide scientific basis for the research. Followed by domesticand foreign research and practice, knowing the shape and construction of the villages,summarize the experience of village construction at home and abroad combined withinstances. And then follows factors influenced the spatial formation of Yangliu village, toexplore spatial form evolution of the village from the natural, social and cultural factors.Next is morphological features in Yangliu village and existing problems. This part variesfrom the macro level to the micro level to describes the basic characteristics of Yangliuvillage. By using a comprehensive collection and analysis, to summarize the basiccharacteristics and connotation of Yangliu village, and to find the village space problemsfrom the current situation. After that, remodeling analysis of space on Yangliu village,combined with the upper planning of the village and the experience both at home andabroad, for improving the spatial form of Yangliu village, and recommend concretemeasures for the sustainable development of the village. At last is the summary. This part is summarizing the issues and solutions of Yangliu village, hoping to supply reference tothe for protection and development of other villages of Nanjing in the future. |
