Since Yuanhao break away from Song dynasty and create Xixia dynasty,their relationship becomes more and more worse. Defensive structures appear on their borders. It plays a important role in the two countries for it is not only a defensive stronghold but also a offensive stronghold. Through the study of the fort can let us know the relationship between song and Xixia relationship thoroughly. The historical comparative method and statistical method are used in the paper to explain why Defensive structures are so much between song and Xixia dynasty. Defensive structures are key to change inferiority for Song dynasty in wars. In commercial it becomes a rallying point for both economic and cultural exchanges. Study on the relationship between Song Xia cannot do without Song and Xixia Defensive structures.
