Abstract/Summary:
Robert Schumann is the nineteenth-century German music history half a century of the most prominent figures. His creation epitomizes the typical nineteenth-century romantic spirit, with broad literary and artistic accomplishment. Schumann on June 8,1810 was born in Germany, Saxony town of Zwickau. He began learning the piano and composing, wanting to become a great pianist. His father had told him many boot music, but Schumann’s mother wanted him to study law in the future in order to be able to get a decent job. Thus after his father’s death, sixteen Schumann had complied mother’s will to enter the University of Leipzig to study law. Until 1830 a Paganini’s playing he had a very significant impact, he finally decided to dedicate himself becoming a practice among pianists. So he gave up the law of nineteen, began to specialize in music. So he gave up the law of nineteen, began to specialize in music. Thus Paganini had a very critical impact for Schumann’s life.Nicolo Paganini is a great musician of Europe late classical music, early Romantic, who is one of history’s most famous violinist. He created a lot of innovative technology for violins. His violin playing techniques made an indelible contribution. His " Caprices Twenty-four " is not only influenced later violin works, but also affected the later piano works.Schumann’s "Theme of Paganini Caprices Etudes" is one of them. All these total of six sets of works, were adapted from Paganini’s "Caprices twenty-four" (OP.1). According to the order, they were adapted from Capriccio 15,9,11,13,19, and 16 in turn. These works have a distinctive musical features and different style, Schumann basically maintained the original look without make structural changes in the process of adaptation. He just did some creative adaptations in harmony and lines in the technical aspects based on two different instruments, with some corresponding transplanting.This article is on the "Theme of Paganini Caprices Etudes," the creation and playing techniques for analysis, and by comparison with Liszt’s transcriptions of homology analysis, Finally, I will summarize the style which presented in the original song of Paganini and Schumann’s distinctive personal musical language in this adaptation of the works.
