| Wang Jianzhong is a famous contemporary Chinese pianist, composer and music educator. He has composed a large amount of piano works with rich themes. Among them, he had composed many piano arrangements which are adapted from the folk songs, instrumental music and other ethnic music with typical Chinese national characteristics, which have made outstanding contributions to the development of China piano music and enriching the repertoire of Chinese piano works.Guqin music "Plum Blossom" and suona song "Bainiaozhaofeng" are two everlasting Chinese music works.Wang Jianzhong’s piano arrangements "Plum Blossom" and "Bainiaozhaofeng" not only retain the ethnic charm and character of the original instrumental music, but also display piano’s capabilities, using piano as the carrier to further develop Chinese folk music heritage and culture. This thesis takes piano arrangements "Plum Blossom" and "Bainiaozhaofeng" as examples to analyze the instrument imitation of Wang Jianzhong’s piano arrangements by making a contrast study between the piano arrangements and the original instrumental music in terms of tone imitation, rhythm imitation, skill imitation and other perspectives. In addition, the thesis discusses the performing features of Wang Jianzhong’s piano arrangements mainly from four aspects: graces playing, the use of pedal, beats playing, and reasonable key-touch.Wang Jianzhong’s piano arrangements are rare good ones among Chinese piano music works. In a certain sense, his piano arrangements have a powerful role in promoting the development of Chinese piano music. The nation is the world. Based on the research of the instrument imitation and performing characteristics of Wang Jianzhong’s piano arrangements, the thesis aims to learn creative techniques of Chinese piano works, enhance the understanding and research of Chinese piano music works, and do our best to make a contribution to the development of Chinese piano music. |
