Yang Shen’s Study Of The Book Of Poetry

Yang shen is a famous litterateur and thinker of Ming dynasty,His works are rich in quantity, it is recorded in History of the Ming Dynasty that Yang shen is a person who is the most knowledgeable and has the most writings in Ming dynasty. And the Yang’s works’ content are also very rich,not only involves poems,but also have books about medicine and geography.Li zhi said that he is “No one unprepared, nor have not build.”Before of this paper,the studies of the Yang were mostly concentrated in sorting and proofreading of his writings, and his literary ideology,and poetics thought. In addition to,Yang shen is a career of scholars in the study of Confucian classics,especially in The Book of Poetry.But predecessors for his research in this field or restricted by length, a brief outline the classics, or on the textology and phonology achievement. This paper is aimed at the Yang’s study of The Book of Poetry. Yang shen’s study of The Book of Poetry can be said to be unique in the whole Ming dynasty, and he is the opener for researchers in the Qing dynasty.He liked to innovation and learned the innate.He put his extraordinary super-knowledge and erudite way of textual research into the poem study,change the study way of Song and Yuan,and put forword Many new ideas and valuable opinions.His study broke the classics study in the Ming dynasty what has rigid model,and had a profound impact on not only in the late Ming poetry study, but also for the rise of textology of the Qing dynasty started the precedent.This article mainly study from four aspects: the first part, introduce the Yang’s study of The Book of Poetry from the Ming dynasty, the research status of analysis of the Yang of The Book of Poetry to learn the main claim. Includes three aspects, first is for people of Ming dynasty or following Zhu xi’s suit, or a bunch of books don’t believe in mind the concept of the judgment of style of study; second is the criticism to peple of Song dynasty, especially ZhiXi’s wrong explaination of The Book of Poetry; Third is the Yang attached great importance to the study of textual research.The second part: the main content of Yang shen’s study of The Book of Poetry,include it’s explaination of the sound,the meaning,the Meibutsu system, the innovation and the contradiction to Zhu xi.The Third part is the methodshis of his research.It’s researched from four aspects,they are the Mao Shi Foreword,the derivatives of poems, the south-north ancient note and exegesis research.The last part is the Yang’s academic spirit of his studies of The Book of Poetry and its influence on later generations. Yang shen’s study of The Book of Poetry is neither blindly the song as people in Ming dynasty, also don’t like peple under the wind of restoring ancient ways who were just focus on the book of the Han dynasty. His academic spirit is valuable, this paper mainly discusses from four aspects. The First one is his spirit of doubt, this is an important content of the Yang’s academic spirit, and it’s also the very lack one of the Ming’s scholars; Secondly,his wide knowledge, this is the reason why Yang shen can get so much achievement; Thirdly is a pragmatic style, this is also with the mind and the wind of relative; The fourth one is the impaction on the textology of the Qing dynasty.
