Study Of The Application Of Clothing Material Pattern In Fashion Design

Clothing material pattern is an important part of fashion design. With the aesthetic and fashion trends in the new era, grasping the law and the method of clothing material pattern design, and exploring the combination with different styles, have become what the fashion designers pursue. In this thesis, we finished some research from the perspective of clothin g material pattern. We summarized the characteristics and styles of the material pattern, an d perform a detailed analysis of the design elements of them. With the most representative works of the fashion-design masters as examples, we further study three areas of the materi al pattern as the design philosophy, the techniques of utilizing, and the visual expression. C ombined with the author’s own design work and the current clothing styles, the required el ements in the material pattern designs are extracted according to the early source of inspira tion and the collection of the fashion color. Through the study of the patterns of clothing m aterial, the analysis of several typical cases as well as the personal practical activities, we s ummarized the design methods of apparel material patterns, and demonstrated that the for m and cultural connotation of them are very rich and varied. The study will be helpful for meeting people’s new demands for fashion diversity.
