Study On Foreign Students’ Chinese Verb Learning

This article is based on the study achievements of the transitive verbs and intransitive verbs. Combined with the actual condition of the foreign students’ grasping of the Chinese transitive verbs and intransitive verbs, I analyze the error types which they have made when learning C hinese, conclude the reasons why the errors appear, and put forward some strategies for teachers to referee. I have used four methods when writing this article, and they are the method of statistical analysis, comparative analysis, comprehensive absorption, and integrating theory with practice. Research has shown that analyzing the errors which foreign students make when learning Chinese verbs can help the students grasp the Chinese verbs better, as well as benefit to the teachers so that they can know the reasons that caused errors and teach verbs more targeted. Consequently, it will reduce the errors which foreign students may make.In the part of C hinese ontology, the transitive verbs are divided into two types, and the intransitive verbs two types on the condition of international C hinese education. By analyzing the HSK dynamic Composition Corpus and the Jinan University of Inter- language Corpus, I divide the errors into two types, the transitive verb error and the intransitive verb error. Also I conclude the reasons that cause errors,and they are external reason and internal reason. The exter nal reason includes the inappropriate of explaining and training in teaching process, and the inappropriate interpretation in text book. While the internal reason includes the negative transfer of native language as well as other languages which foreign students have learnt before, and the overgeneralization of the target language rules can also lead to errors.For the causes of foreign students’ errors, I put forward some suggestion for teachers: methods for teaching and methods for textbook writing and designing.
