Since the publication of Freud’s The Interpretation of Dreams in 1900, people’s superstition and speculation of dreams has been changed. And the study of dreams started from that time on. Scientists began their research in a more scientific perspective.With the development of education reform, the professional education is getting more support from the society and government, meanwhile,the group of secondary students is getting lager. In order to know the dream intensity and typical dreams of secondary students the researcher have done two researches on 357secondary students.Research one:This dissertation focuses on dream intensity of secondary students, based on Dream Intensity Scale. The study shows:(1)The average number of dreams by secondary students is 7.41. the average frequencies of dream awareness, recalling main dream content, multiple dreams in a single night, awareness of being in a dream, and de ja vu, dream-reality confusion for the entire sample of secondary students were more than once a month.(2)In the dreams of secondary students, visual and auditory senses took precedence。 About 50% students can see colors and hear sound while about 60% of them can feel emotion in more than half of their dreams.what’s more, most dreams of them are pleasant and incoherent.(3)Condensation and displacement was the most common dream-work mechanism, followed by and animal symbolism, and inanimate object symbolism.Research two:This dissertation focuses on typical dreams of secondary students, based on typical dreams questionnaire. The study shows:(1)In the typical dreams, there were ten most prevalent themes for secondary students:being chased or pursued; not injured, school, teachers, studying; falling; eating delicious food; flying or soaring through the air, trying again and again doing something; magical powers(not flying...); being frozen with fright; being physically attacked; being tied, unable to move.(2)There were significant Differences when it came to gender, grade and whether they were the only child in the family.
