This thesis from the learners of Chinese tone acquisition, the International Cultural Exchange School of the university students as the basis of tone pronunciation to construct a corpus of foreign students’ tone. Chinese is a tonal language, in teaching Chinese as a second language, tone is the key and difficult points, the main causes is the Chinese learners "foreign accent" phenomenon. Compared with the traditional teaching method, method by using corpora tone is more intuitive, scientific and accurate,which data can be reused. And the corpus is the only one which bases on foreign students’ tone pronunciation, the function is more perfect, for foreign students, teachers, the research of great help.This thesis adopts a corpus based approach to analyze foreign students’ tone pronunciation by Glodwave and Praat. And all students tone errors are classified. Finally, using Access database construct Foreign students Corpus tone. Then the paper further use of the corpus of Brazil students to show the value of corpus. This thesis is comprised of five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction part,mainly introduces the reasons of selecting this topic and the conditions and process of research status.The second chapter mainly introduces the corpus design,including how to select Chinese words, how to design the database of students and how to classify the tonal errors.The third chapter introduces the corpus annotation and method of using corpus.The fourth chapter is the errors analysis based on corpus. The students in Brazil as an example,the use of corpus data,and compared with the Chinese students tone pronunciation.The fifth chapter is a conclusion of this paper,points out the value and the problems and difficulties in the construction.
