The Study On Tzvetan Todorov’s Dialogue Criticism Theory

The method of literary criticism is an important dimension of the western literary theory research in the 20 th century. There is no agreement on what is "criticism of literary" and "criticism should be what". Different literary critics have different ideas. As one of the French structuralism "after the fourth" literary theorist, Tzvetan Todorov expressed his personal special view of criticism, through criticism of criticism. Combined with the French structuralism criticism in the process, Todorov’s criticism methods, especially the "dialogue criticism" out of the traditional structuralism, offers a new perspective for the modern literary criticism and the possibility of more explanation. The criticism of criticism was concentrated manifestation of Todorov ’s theory of "dialogue criticism".In this paper the criticism of criticism as a center of interpretation, try to analyze Todorov’s criticism theory horizon, thus explaining Todorov’s theory of "dialogue criticism". This paper mainly divided into three chapters. The first capter is for the literary theory and literary criticism of Tzvetan Todorov in holistic care. Combined with Todorov’s theoretical writings, the intellectual trajectory is divided into "structuralist poetics and narrative period", "symbol and interpretation theory period" and "Cultural anthropology extension period" three major stages, and describe the main characteristics of different stages of Todorov’s thought. Criticism of Criticism’s production period is also Todorov’s the boundaries of the ideological chang. The second chapter "dialogue criticism" as an interpretation center, mainly analyzes the formation of the "dialogue criticism" essence and connotation, which is especially referring to the critics of the mission. One dimensional criticism is not accurate. Todorov advocates dialogue criticism,which is a way from seeing to admit and to tolerance.The third chapter is the former two chapters as the foundation, for Todorov’s theory and method of formation of objective knowledge, that is, from Todorov’s theory and ideological value of "dialogue criticism", and some limitations of the branch into the criticism methods.
