Dr. Orloff will tell you that surrendering could remove roadblocks and the exhaustion from the society featured by high intensity and fast paceā€”and it makes you achieve ongoing happiness in life.The translator has translated the Introduction and Chapter 3 of the book. According to the requirement of College of Foreign Studies, the translator wrote this thesis upon ten thousand words he has translated. It will be divided into three parts:The first part is introduction, including the basic information of The Ecstasy of Surrender and its features, purpose of the thesis and its application value as well as practical significance on the progress of society and civilization.The second part is the main body of this thesis. The main body is divided into four chapters in detail. The first chapter is the task description, which contains the introduction to this task and the characteristics of the book. The second chapter is the description of the translation process, including the preparation of translation, translation process and post-translation proofreading. The third chapter is case analysis. In this part, the translator will analyze and study some problems that occurred in his practical translation process, such as translationese, foreignization and domestication, and then summarize what he has learnt from this practice. The fourth chapter is the translation experience, which will sum up what the translator has gained from this thesis.The third part is the conclusion.
