Vocabulary teaching and the learning strategies have been one of the hot topics in the circle of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Especially in spoken Chinese teaching,vocabulary has become a bottleneck restricting the oral communication. The low efficiency in vocabulary teaching is coursed not only by the teachers’ teaching and students’ learning strategies, but the vocabulary’s number, grade, style and other aspects of the materials which can not be ignored.Therefore, discussion on Vocabulary Teaching in Spoken Chinese is of great significance to the guidance of teaching practice and to rich the textbook theory.So I select two sets of Spoken Chinese materials as the research object, “the Version of a New Generation of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language·Oral Course”(nine volumes)published by Peking University Press and “Developing Chinese·Speaking Course"(six volumes) published by Beijing Language and Culture University Press, adopt the methods of quantitative qualitative analysis, and then make statistical analysis of the vocabulary of the two sets of textbooks in number, grade, style and new words to sum up the strengths and weaknesses of the two sets of textbooks in the vocabulary compilation.And on this basis, I put forward thinking and suggestions for improvement.This paper can be divided into three parts. Firstly, make in-depth and detailed statistical analysis of the vocabulary in the two sets of Spoken Chinese textbook to summarize the advantages and disadvantages of vocabulary compilation.This part is the basis of this paper. Secondly, discuss the theoretical basis and practical significance of vocabulary compilation in the Spoken Chinese textbook, which is the guiding ideology of optimizing compilation of vocabulary. Finally, according to the guiding ideology of vocabulary compilation and the reference to the feedback information from teachers and students, I try to put forward some improving proposals. This paper considers that the vocabulary compilation of Spoken Chinese materials should pay attention to the accuracyof vocabulary annotation and the diversity of vocabulary presentation; the uniqueness of oral class and the relationship with other classes; the adaptation of classroom training and the development of extracurricular training; the stage goal of teaching materials and the continuity the target words. The third part is the core part of this paper, and also the purpose of this study. The three parts of this paper contact each other and are indivisible.The thoughts and suggestions of vocabulary compilation of Spoken Chinese textbook are based on the above statistics of the two sets of the paper and I put forward some ideas under the guidance of the relevant theory and practice, in order to better guide the oral vocabulary compiling.
