The Art Of Lacquer Painting Language

This paper presents the evolution of Chinese lacquer painting from ancient to modern times and the history of other Asian countries, learning that the lacquer painting is a new art category derived from the decorative pattern of lacquerware and its material determined the specialty of its difference from other paintings. This paper also systematically summarizes various forms of lacquer painting and introduces many operational methods and special artistic effect in detail. Meanwhile, this paper briefly analyzes forms and directions of lacquer painting. The author believes that, just like the creation of other artwork, the creation of lacquer painting can not only just limit to its process expression, but it should focus on the expression of rhythms based on mastering the creation process. The painter should put more time and energy in the exploration of the artistic language about lacquer. This is the most important issue and misunderstanding of lacquer painting as a new painting form.In summery, from the creation of lacquer painting, the paper makes systematical analysis and exploration after collecting lots of materials and references. Besides, the author elaborates her feeling and knowledge of the creation of lacquer painting combined with practices.
