In the middle of the 70th of 20th century, a Chinese scholar Ying-shih Yu, which was famous of the achievements of the history of Chinese culture, presented a thesis named "The Two Worlds of A Dream of Red Mansions" for the great Chinese novel "A Dream of Red Mansions".This thesis caused great repercussions in the field of whole red-ology as well as the entire academic world. This theory of Ying-shih Yu makes a vivid mark for the times because of the particular scholarship background it was presented. Firstly, this article will demonstrate the theory of "The Two Worlds of A Dream of Red Mansions" Therefore, the other red-ology theses of Ying-shih Yu and the arguments caused by these theses will be presented. The positive and negative influences will be discussed for Yu’s theses. At first, Yu’s red-ology theories are important scholarship reconsiderations through emphasizing the idealism and fictionality of "A Dream of Red Mansions" as literature. It has great significance at the moment as well as nowadays for its impacts on the deform red-ology study situation of Chinese mainland at that time.However, the world of the "A Dream of Red Mansions" is multivariant rather than dualistic.In addition, it is very biased for Yu to simply divide the former Chinese Red-ology field into the thesis of "Autobiography" and the thesis of "Political Red-ology".In spite of Yu is an unprofessional redologist, his theories have significantly influenced the entire red-ology as good as other famous red-ology theories especially the thesis of "The Two Worlds of A Dream of Red Mansions".Despite the imperfection of his theses, Yu made all redologists to reconsider the whole history of red-ology. Additionally, it is noteworthy that the influences of the differences of perspective between Chinese and western world, the changes of political environment and scholarship environment on the formation of scholarship theses.
