Their designs can be targeted and under the most suitable design, gems’ beautifulness can be maximized.A professional jewelry designer should get achievements in jewelry mosaicing and machining as well. Because what clients want is beautiful jewelry in reality not just good design drawings. So, designers should predict problems which may emerge from mosaicing and the solutions as well. Above all, designers should also think about economical conditions. Real professional jewelry designers should not just bury themselves in designing and ignore other things, which may lead jewelry designers to divorce from reality. Economical consideration is not just about design fee, but also balance in whole work’s value, cost of jewelry mosaicing and machining, client’s budget and to prevent some possible economical traps. This factors are related to gems’ value assessment and business operating ability. If problems occur in economy situation, no matter how successful of jewelry designs, they are like air castle and can not be carried out. So, what a jewelry designer should master in gemology is not only some knowledge in gems, but also a whole knowledge system. Under that condition, he or she can grow up to a professional jewelry designer. And Chinese jewelry design industry can be better.
