And the traditional scoring methods of divergent thinking test can be divided into objective scoring method and subjective evaluation method, the shortcomings of the traditional objective scoring method are following:1) Ideational fluency is a confounding factor in the measurement of originality; 2) Statistical rarity is ambiguous in the objective scoring method; 3) The originality scores of big sample will be underestimated. And the traditional subjective evaluation method has the following disadvantages:1) Subjective evaluation process takes a great deal of time and effort; 2) The validity of subjective evaluation has been challenged. The main purpose of this study is to exploit the database of alternate uses test method to improve the traditional methods. This research has collected large scale of alternate uses task data. Through scientific encoding, the author has established the alternate uses tasks database, and validated the consistency and effect size of the database by using the alternate uses tasks and alternate tools tasks. The purposes of this research are:1) Through combining the results of subjective and objective scoring method, reducing the confounding effect of fluency to creativity; 2) Through establishing the alternate uses tasks database, making the originality scores more accurate on the basis of more reasonable subject sample volume; 3) Through storing the subjective scores of alternate uses tasks of highly consistency degree, reducing the scoring error of repeatedly assessment of possible inconsistent scoring standard; 4) Through establishing the database, making the scoring process of DT tasks more quickly and easily, and reducing the tedious work of traditional scoring method. This study consists of two parts, the first part, study 1 is to establish the database of alternate uses tasks; the second part is the reliability and validity verification for the database indicators. The Second part is divided into 2 specific studies. In study 2, the author has validated the reliability between the database scoring method and the traditional scoring method by using the alternate uses tasks. In study 3, the author has found a good predictive validity of the subjective scores in the database by using the alternate tools tasks, but the objective scores did not have a good predictive validity. In conclusion, compared to the traditional scoring method of divergent thinking test, the database method has produced a subjective scores of highly reliability and predictive validity on alternate uses tasks and alternate tools tasks; At the same time, compared to the traditional scoring method, the objective originality scores and subjective scores of the database have highly consistency on the alternate uses tasks. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Divergent thinking test, Alternate uses test, Altemate tools test, Scoring of answers, Originality scores, Subjective scores, Database method | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
