Ding Ling And Yan’ An: The Study About The Transformation Of The Author In The Revolution Furnace

Ding Ling is one of the representative Chinese intellectuals. despite her artistic achievement,her life is like a legend.She experienced the May 4th movement,leftist writers period, the yenan rectification and the cultural revolution, finally, with strong perseverance, she came to the new era.By analysising Ding Ling, the creation can be divided into five stages, the period of the May 4th movement,the left period, the entering yanan period, in-depth yanan period, blend in yanan and the new period. Ding Ling’s life was floating in the torrent of the revolution, in 1929-1930,Ding Ling created three novels of "revolution plus love", it can also be seen as the first step towards to revolution of Ding Ling, However, as the novels of "revolution plus love" were liquidated, Ding Ling turned to the left and started to writer real revolution. However, Ding Ling didn’t come into the revolution really, the description was more out of her own imagination. Ding Ling began to really get in touch with the real revolution until she came to yanan.The period of yanan was the key period of Ding Ling. From advocating yanan to essay creationg,and then blending to revolution after the yanan rectification. Ding Ling expericed a complex process of adjustment. On one hand, Ding Ling actively pursued revolutionary utilitarianism. On the other hand,she passively accept the mandatory requirements of the revolution. Revolution and the self as the poles of the spirit existing in the works of Ding Ling, and the works exist the fissure between the concept and the text when she contact revolution, the fissure between the concept and the text refers to the difference between consciousness and unconsciousness. The fractures have existed since leftist writers period, and lasted from the revolutionary works of the beginning of yanan, to the reborn of Ding Ling.The fissures of the text is very worth exploring. Through the analysis, the author find that, the relationship between self and the revolution of Ding Ling is in a complex condition in yanan. Guided by revolutionary utilitarianism, the works of Ding Ling always express ego’s voice while the works of exposing the darkness of yanan can reflect the feelings as a party member consciousness. By flipping through the historical data, we can find out that Ding Ling and yanan intellectuals at that time had experienced the political ups and downs. The transition of Ding Ling in yanan was related to political policies of the communist party. Ding Ling got lost in the face of sudden political, controlled by the strength of the revolutionary discourse, Ding Ling realized the transformation of herself. However, the real self is indelible.This article tries to prevailing to the political context and exploring the relationship between Ding Ling and yanan, try to study what changes have take place and what is the cause of the change. Regard Ding Ling as a case, we can understand what conflictions have taken place between yanan intellectuals and politics, and why they changes collective.
