Zhu Dongrun And Historical Studies

Zhu Dongrun (1896-1988) is a famous biography writer, literary historian, calligrapher. He has a profound conservation of traditional Chinese culture, also has a lot of western knowledge by reading western works. The blend of Chinese and Western cultures make him cautious to traditional Chinese culture, traditional culture with rigorous research methods, taking innovative spirits to transform traditional culture. In his early years,he was concerting on ancient Chinese history, especially on the "Historical Records" book study. Three to four decades of the nineteenth century, he put all his energy into Biographic Literature Research and creation.
