Research On Guang Xi And Vietnamese War Of Resistance Against France

In 1945, the French colonizers plotted to occupy Vietnam after failure, which caused a new upsurge in the Vietnamese fighting against French. The Vietnamese’s resistance against French is a justice anti-invasion war, and also a great cause seeking national liberation, independence and freedom of Vietnam. In 1950, China made decisions to help Vietnam to fight against French at the request of Ho Chi Minh, the leader of the Communist party of Vietnam. This paper, focusing on “the assistance from Guangxi to Vietnam”, aims to show the great contributions made by the Guangxi people to help Vietnam to fight against France and the statue and functions of Guangxi in China’s assistance to Vietnam by the way of illustrating the glorious history of fighting against France together between the Chinese people and the Vietnamese people, especially the Guangxi people and the Vietnamese people through literature and field investigation and interviews. This paper holds the view that the Guangxi people obeyed the order from the central committee to help the Vietnamese people, which is an important part of China’s assistance to Vietnam. Guangxi is closely related to the Vietnamese people’s resistance against French. It’s the frontline of China’s assistance to Vietnam and also the rear area of the Vietnamese people’s resistance against France. The all-round and efficient help from Guangxi, vividly illustrates the Guangxi people’s internationalist spirit and patriotism. It also reflects that the Guangxi people are willing to subordinate the interests of the individual to those of the community. Therefore, Guangxi cannot be replaced in the relation to Vietnam no matter in the past, in the present or in the future. In the new period, it has a significant and contemporary function to continue to make Guangxi play its constructive role in the relation to Vietnam.
