Liubang dispatched Xiaohe to build the Weiyang Palace and relevant protective f acilities including walls, gates, turrets and watchtowers. Troops were divided into two parts, the south and north, but worked together to defend the palace. Emperor Hui bui It the rampart shortly after ascending the throne for further defense. Emperor Wu built more palaces and increased more imperial bodyguards. Later Emperor Wu fortified m ore armies for defense after his son, Liuju’s betray. He ordered to be permanent grassi on outside the palace, which changed his grand father, Emperor Jin’s temprary garriso n. Defense facilities like walls, ramparts and troops grassion combined logistics effect ively enhanced the Chang’an city defense system. Besides that, eight rivers and new-b uild canal have the same effects as well.
