From 8th Century to 10th Century, some Zoroastrians don’t want to change their belief and come to India, in the end they become a very important minority in India. It’s called Parsis which is named after Parsis where they come from. Nowadays, there are about 150,000 Zoroastrians around the world, and 2/3 of them are Parsis. So Parsis are the hare core in the Zoroastrians world. Although Parsis is a minority in India and their population is no more than 0.007% of the total India population. They had a great effect in India Society, for example:the Tata, Wadia and Godrej Family’s influence is from Traffic Development, Medical Treatment to Manufacture, Education and so on. What’s more, some of them even had great influence around the world. So it’s important to study Pasis.In the development of Parsis, they had formed some important settlement, such as Navsari, Poona, Surat, Calcutta and Bombay. Some of them have great influence on the religion, some are on the economics and some are on the culture. In addition, the special relationship between Parsis. At first, Parsis worked as broker for the British East India Company, in the end they could build their own textile mill, dockyard, bank and so on. So they not only became the richest group but also became the most west influence group. On one side, their life had a great improvement, more people could get education, women get more freedom. While from the other side, it led to the decrease of Parsis. So as a minority, it become the focus of Parsis.
