From the Dutch East India Company was founded in1602, to1840s, the sugar trade is an important part of company’s Far Eastern Trade. Dutch has Chinese Taiwan and Batavia for the sugar center. The main problems explored of this paper are reasons of the rise of the sugar trade, types of sugar, trade patterns, profit and the influence of sugar trade in the Netherlands, the Dutch East India Company, Taiwan, Batavia, Europe, Asia. This article focuses on the analyzing trade history of the Dutch East India Company, with Taiwan and Batavia for sugar center, making reproduction of the colonial history of Taiwan and Batavia and its effect in Dutch history.The paper is divided into four parts. The first section discusses the rise of the sugar trade of the Dutch East India Company in the early17th century. Types of sugar can be described as complex, but which of the Dutch East India Company is not complex. The author will introduce sugar species to show the sales situation of sugar. In addition, with interregional trade, the Dutch East India Company is active in Asia in the17th and18th centuries. Through the analysis of trade patterns, putting the sugar trade under the background of the Country Trade, the essence of the East India Company is getting gold, silver and other precious metals, which are the most urgent in capital accumulation period. Some original data suggests that the proportion of sugar in the bulk cargo trade in the Dutch East India Company shows that sugar trade played an important role in the Dutch East India Company trade. This part focus on reasons of the sugar trade "s rise of the Dutch East India Company--a huge profit and a broad world market for its trade sales. And another important reason is the war of the Netherlands, Portugal, Brazil, which makes Brazil which is an important sugar-producing area been seriously damaged, and the international sugar price rise. Then there is an urgent need to open up a new sugar-supply area in order to meet the demand for sucrose. Tea is one of the most major export goods for China and the bulk goods for East India Company. Therefore, tea’s popularity in Europe is also make the Dutch East India Company actively carry out the sugar trade.The second part discusses the situation of the Dutch East India Company’s sugar trade during the1624to1662.During this, period, the Dutch East India Company’s sugar is mainly come from China(include Taiwan).Of course there is also from Americas、Asia(such as Badawi and so on),but only a minority.The Dutch East India Company firstly take the sugar to Holland in1622.In the past forty years, the Dutch East India Company’s sugar trade was experienced roughly the following pefiods,the difficult period of development and with the Chinese civil war ended,the sugar trade appears to develop quickly.Through this structured analysis method can show we clearly the situation of the sugar trade. The Dutch East India Company’ sugar trade has a broad sale market,such as Europe and Asia.Meanwhile.the company monopolies the Persia sugar market.Through the data, we can analysis the sugar sale volume and profit rate in order to make the sugar trase more and more vividly.This time the Dutch East India Company’ sugar trade shows a flourishing situation is due to many factors.The powerful maritime fleet strength lay a solid foundation in sugar trade.The occupation of Taiwan and Badawi,mean while the company actively encourage the colonial area to product sugar.So the colonial ares can supply enough sugar.The third part discussess after the Holland expelled from Taiwan,and Badawi provided the majority sugar for the company.This is the main trade in this time.During this period,the main market of the Dutch East India Company is still in Europe and Asia’Persian and Japan.As the beverage emerging such as tea’ drink popularity,the European market demand for suagar expands ceaselessly.Because of the Persia and Japan did not develop the sugar industry,still need to rely on the input in order to meet the domestic demand of sugar.Therefore the Dutch East India Company’sugar trade has continue to develop even prosperous scene in this period.However,this scene has been changed until seventeen twenties.With substantial Chinese sugar input into Japan market and the domestic conflicts occurred in Persia,all of this things make a great damage to Dutch East India Company.From the present data we can obviously find,during this period,the amount of the sugar send to Persia and Japan market reduced significantly.So how to sell the constantly increasing sugar of Badawi? The Dutch East India Company seeks new market actively,after seventeen twenties Surat and Mocha become the main market.We focuse on the analysis of the policy measures that Dutch East India Company has been took to forestall the sugar trade. Sugar is one of the important trade goods of Dutch East India Company.Through this trade, Dutch East India Company obtained huge profits.So the Dutch East India Company has to monopoly the cane product and the sugar production.The Badawi government actively encouraged Taiwan and Java to cultivate cane and product sugar so as to get rid of the dependent on China mainland’ sugar.We will get a result,this encouragement policy play an important role in Taiwan and Indonesia.After the Dutch East India Company expelled from Taiwan by Zheng group,Taiwan’ sugar production and trade has not declined.In later centuries,Taiwan plays an important role in the international market.Through the’analysis of the phenomenon.we will know cleally that the Dutch East India Company’ impact on Taiwan’38years of colonial rule.The fourth part discusses the impact of the sugar trade to Europe,Asia and the colonies such as Taiwan and Badawi.The sugar trade not only good for the primitive accumulation of capital,but also the input of the sugar make an important effect to the European social life.Sugar trade also play an important role in European’sugar industry.Through the analysis to clearly outline the Dutch East India Company’ sugar trade plays an important role in the far east trade.
