In teaching Chinese as a foreign language, Chinese writing is difficult to teach and study, this phenomenon causes the writing teaching effect is not ideal. There are some problems need to be solved urgently. Take proper instruction on Chinese writing teaching is very important. In recent years, teaching Chinese as a foreign language appears some research results about writing teaching methods, including task method, communicative approach, the process approach, group interaction method etc. Among them, the task-based approach is more suitable than other methods to teaching Chinese writing as a foreign language. The full text is divided into six parts: The first part is the introduction, explaining the reason, significance, methods and disadvantage of the study. The second part describes the feasibility of task-based approach in teaching Chinese writing as a foreign language, including the related situation of task-based approach and teaching Chinese as a foreign language writing, and the problems in the present writing teaching. And the combination of the above content, we discuss the feasibility on the application of task-based approach in teaching Chinese writing as a foreign language. The third part explains the need principle and step in the application of task-based approach. The fourth part firstly analyzed related factors on the teaching design, and then take the second class "trip to Hong Kong" of "developing Chinese- Intermediate writing course(II)" for instance and make a class design, using the investigate way to analysis design results. The fifth part puts forward the suggestions for teaching Chinese as a foreign language writing teaching; the last part summarizes the whole paper and demonstrates the lack of research. We hope the research results of Chinese as a foreign language writing teaching can be more abundant.
