Ai Wu Hometown Version And Text Change Research

Ai Wu was a wandering writer who influenced Chinese literary world for decades, but his novel Fertile Wilderness,Wild,Hometown have not received enough attention in literary history. In the currently available information, the research for Hometown mainly on the analysis of the characters, the interpretation of the theme, the study of the language and writing methods, the evaluation of the status of literary history etc, researchers have not found the study of the text itself changes. In this paper the school Hometown on the basis of each version, select the text produced meaningful changes to research the changes of text, the first edition and the corpus are analyzed comparatively. The corpus is changed hugely, focused on the standardization of language and modification of plot, which is the main aspect discussed in this article.This article mainly discusses the research of "hometown" version from four aspects. The introduction part mainly interprets the writing background and previous researches, the creation and modification of content in Ai Wu’s letters. The second part is about introduction of Hometown text, it has a total of four versions. The third part explains Hometown text change from two aspects of language and plot content. The fourth part analyzes the reasons of Hometown text change. The conclusion part is the authors evaluation on version’s changes.The methods used in the thesis are textual close reading, the comparative research, empirical approach, literary criticism method etc.
