Traduction, Research And Reception Of Alain Robbe-Grillet In China

Alain Robbe-Grillet, leader of the new novel, is a novelist and filmmaker of the twentieth century. From the publication of his first novel in 1949 to his latest novel in 2007, he wrote more than twenty theoretical and literary works and had a significant influence on the contemporary literature.The translation and introduction of Alain Robbe-Grillet in China were started in the 1960s. From 1961 to 1966, the published criticisms of the new novel accompanied the introduction of Alain Robbe-Grillet. From 1979, his novels have been translated successively in China and a generation of Chinese writers and filmmakers initated consciously or unconsciously the style of the new novel in their own creations.Given the current research, we want to study the translation and reception of Alain Robbe-Grillet in China.Our study is divided into three chapters as follows:The first chapter talks about the process of translation of Alain Robbe-Grillet in China. And we want to find the characteristics of each period. The second chapter tries to review the studies of Alain Robbe-Grillet inChina. We want to focus on the efforts that Chinese researchers have already made, what are the distinct features, what are their prospects, what is the relationship between translation and study of Alain Robbe-Grillet in China. The third chapter tries to evaluate four key factors that influenced the reception of Alain Robbe-Grillet in China:social environment, literary environment, translation and reader.In summary, we want to give our thoughts on the process of translation and reception of Alain Robbe-Grillet in China, we would like to better understand how social, cultural, literary and economic factors influence the reception of a foreign writer in China. And we hope this study could serve as a reference for future researchs.
