Popular songs is not only a kind of art form, is also a kind of cultural phenomenon. Under the traditional ideological of "modernity society", combined with music market operation, modern music field produced a large number of popular songs about Tibet. This kind of songs based on the natural environment and cultural customs of Tibet, using a series of related symbols, around Tibet conducted a series of imagination and narration. These songs’singers’identity and narrative content are more diverse and complex. There are both the Han and other nationality singers’, also Tibetan singers’creation and singing songs. The Han and other nationality singers’ songs is mainly used the obvious symbols of Tibet, such as "white clouds" "blue sky" "snow mountain", to construct a spiritual home with characteristics of utopia, and to express the yearning as "the other". And this kind of songs played a role of cultural treatment. By contrast, the symbolism of Tibetan singers’ songs’ symbols is more plentiful, such as "mom" "white tower" "condor" with symbolic meaning of humanity and religion. This kind of songs constructed a "real hometown" to express the emotion of affiliation. This different statements on Tibet, reflects the cultural identity for songwriting and expression. Cultural identity affected the creator and singer of the songs’ selection and processing of symbols, also influenced the narrative content and narrative way.
