Southern and Northern Dynasties are a critical period of Buddhism with Chinese cultural integration. Southern Buddhist emphasis on argumentation, Northern Buddhism emphasis on practice, so there have much Buddhist caves in north dynasty. More famous Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes, Luoyang, Longmen Grottoes, Datong Yungang Grottoes and so on. There are also some not particularly well-known in the history of Buddhism in China, but there is quite a status grotto, as mentioned herein ring Grottoes. Xiangtangshan caves located in this city of Handan Fengfeng mine, in cold South Xiangtangshan(also called Fu Mountain), North Xiangtangshan(also called Gushan). The caves dug in the Northern Qi Dynasty years. Eastern Wei minister Gao huan constructed Buddha temple in Gushan Garan. And then one of his sons Gao Yang the emperor north Qi dug caves in Gu Mountain, that today’s North Xiangtangshan Grottoes. North Xiangtangshan Grottoes statues rich subject matter, but also save a considerable amount of Northern carved by, especially for the study of Northern Development and the Northern Qi Dynasty Buddhist grottoes, statues art, etc. It provides quality first-hand materials.Northern and Southern Dynasties period is a critical period of the Buddhist cultural integration with China as the carrier of Buddhist teachings of Buddhism certainly received considerable attention. Buddhism was flourishing, though not of the Sui and foreign monks but after some effort, most of the Buddhist scriptures have been translated into Chinese and popular in the north and south, the more famous monk scriptures are asking that the Southern Ba Tulu, Hou qin dynasty Kumara jive etc. Another influence affected degenerated after thought and Northern Wei and Northern Zhou Dynasty emperor behavior suppression of Buddhism, Cliff engraved become a popular time. Northern Qi period, from the royal family to the nobility, carved by competing, so for us the precious relics carved by, but also provides valuable information for us to study Buddhism at that time. Xiangtangshan numerous caves carved by the Northern Qi Dynasty relics is one, though its size is all carved by the largest, but also has its own characteristics, it is worth a detailed inquiry and reflectionAs the central region of the Northern Qi Dynasty, Ye City neighborhood left a lot of Buddhist stones, some of them carved by the Emperor, and the another caver by notability. This paper discussed, the Xiangtangshan cave Buddhist stone, is cave by Tang Yong the minister of north Qi dynasty. North Xiangtangshan carved by a Xiangtangshan carved by the body, carved by the people it is certain that the minister Tang Yong, of course, can not be determined by a number of Buddhist stone. South Xiangtangshan not expressly carved by the history, but according to those who open the cave for Hui Yi speculated may also be involved Buddhist stone.In this paper, through literature research and historical research study on Xiangtangshan caves carved by, cf. ring Grottoes carved by the same "Thirteen," the similarities and differences, combined with the prevailing background of Xiangtangshan carved by preached Buddhism thoughts analysis. Xiangtangshan carved by exploring the reasons handed down by a combination of literature and inscriptions carved by the method and of the motives and their carved by a detailed analysis. Meanwhile this paper also focuses on the south Xiangtangshan Grotto major donors Shen Ding, who is a vary famous monk in north Qi dynasty.And the monk has intimidate relationship with Sengcan, a famous Zen monk. The paper attempts to study the problem.
