The Cultural Geographic Study Of Mountainous Region In Chongqing During Ming And Qing Dynasty

Chongqing has the name of "Mountainous City", where the cultural landscape in mountain is the main one. It is the combined result of the completion, development and transformation of the cultural landscape. Based on the materials organizing, this paper aims to form the systematic conclusion of the cultural landscape of mountainous area in Ming and Qing dynasty from the historical and geographic perspective; and at the same time generalize the regularity of distribution and transformation of the cultural landscape during that time so that people can have a general knowledge of this phenomena and provide materials for the development and protection of the cultural landscape in Chongqing.There are several aspects following in this paper:The first part is the introduction, including the reason to choose this topic, academic significance, realistic significance, the conceptual definition related, the flashback of academic history and previous study, and the clarification of difficult and important points of the content as well as the study method.The second part is about the introduction including chapter 1 and chapter 2. It is about the general knowledge of the mountainous cultural landscape that is the combined result of natural geographic environment and social cultural environment. We need to explore the resource of it because the formation of mountainous cultural landscape is in a process. Therefore chapter 2 is about the distribution and features of cultural landscape before Ming and Qing dynasty.The third part is the main body of this paper which is about the distribution of mountainous cultural landscape in Chongqing in Ming and Qing dynasty from the description of the concrete and abstract landscape perceptively. We found that the religious landscape in Ming and Qing in Chongqing is more than any other landscape. It is in relation among different landscapes so it is necessary of a comprehensive description of the cultural landscape in overall distribution to reflect the relating relationships. By comparing with the previous mountainous landscape in Chongqing before Ming and Qing dynasty, we aim to find the regularities.The forth part is about the distribution patterns of mountainous cultural landscape in Chongqing in feature of integrity and differences. Then it analyzes the affecting factors of the distribution differences of it. In the end we found that it is the combined result of natural environment and social environment according to the study during the process of material arrangement.
