The best way is to categorized according to its content firstly and then make a discussion, and finally determine the nature and function of all kinds of different calendars.In the aspect of shape, the main discussion is about the number and the length of rope about bamboo and wooden slips of LiPu currently. According to statistics, each slips of LiPu in the material length is different, not only simply the slips of LiPu, but also other kinds of bamboo slips, so it is difficult to find the law of the length. In the number of rope, length and material can be the factors. In the copying way. LiPu can be divided into five categories basically, but also presents some special copying way, such as square. When there are multiple solutions, and other information, such as the new order, the new moon cycle reappearance and a simple upper and lower limit about the slips which accompany LiPu, finally to determine the only year.In this article. we will record the calendar year in the order of the relevant research results on academic. For the controversial years, we will try to make our own jud gments.History books rarely records the calendar and the calendar reform time of Qin Dynasty to the early Han Dynasty.We can recover the Ganzhi of the first day of one month from Qin Dynasty to the early Han Dynasty according to the calendar of historical records,but the result does not conform to unearthed materials. For the Qin Dynasty to to the early Han Dynasty calendar has changed, most scholars agree this view, but for what point or period has changed, the Public opinions are divergent.The properties and uses of LiPu is not the same, and the authenticity of the calendar recording time is not absolute, so we will find there are a few mistakes. Because of long time to spread since ancient times and the spread of different transcription may also result in errors, our understanding will be a certain deviation. So whether the handed down literature or not the unearthed historical spectrum materials, it is difficult to be completely accurate, so we should not be too stick.
