This paper is based on the interdisciplinary research methods and takes the social methodology by Pierre Bourdieu to research the art discourse power. This paper is consist of two parts. The first part analyzes capital accumulation and transformation in different fields. The second part analyzes Wu’s capital accumulation and transformation in different periods.The first part starts from chapter one to chapter four. It analyzes cultural capital, social capital, economic capital and symbolic capital accumulated during Wu’s life in art field、 political field and art market field, and the various capital conversion from three different fields, respectively, the art field, politics fields and the art market field. As the art field is the core field of capital accumulation and conversion to other capital, it is divided into two chapters to further explain. The first chapter discusses different forms of cultural capital in art field. It is referred to graduating from National Hangzhou Art College and Paris National Higher Arts school; practicing art advocates for Chinese painting modernization、 oil painting nationalization and pursuing "formal beauty";Publishing mass work series, filming objective cultural capital on Wu’s documentaries; being elected as communication academician of the French Academy Art Academy; wining the French "higher art and literature medal", China "Visual Arts Achievement Award"-institutionalized cultural capital for national lifetime Achievement Award. The second chapter discusses Wu’s social and symbolic capital in art field. It analyzes his social capital of being elected as director of Chinese Artists Association, and various symbolic capital accumulation of Wu’s great praised exhibition, seminars and diverse collection of works by Chinese and foreign scholars praised matter to the intersection of praise, hosts art artistic authority accumulation and other forms of. The third chapter discusses the social capital and symbolic capital in Wu’ s political field, mainly cultural capital transferring into social capital and symbolic capital, such as Wu is being elected as Chinese CPPCC members to attend art exhibitions;The fourth chapter discusses the transformation from Wu’s cultural capital, social capital and symbolic capital to economic capital, which is the price change of Wu’s works in art market. It is worthy of noticing that the price of Wu’ s works continues to rise in the art market, and constantly updates the highest record. It gradually transferred from overseas art market to the mainland, rather than from the latter to the former.The second part, which is the fifth chapter of the building process analysis for Wu’ s art discourse power. It is divided into three periods: the "self-reliance" period before 1977, when domestic and foreign capital accumulated and transferred;The "go hand in hand" period between 1978 and 1986, when domestic and foreign capital accumulated and transferred; and the "echo " period between 1987 and 2010, when domestic and foreign capital accumulated and transferred. It analyzes Wu’s various capital accumulation and transformation in different times, social spaces and fields.
