A group of female writers of Dong Wu were active in the literary world in1940sof Shang Hai. At that time, they were also the spotlight except the famous writersZhang ai ling and Su Qin. Shi ji mei is the leader of this group whose works were themost and gained the most popularity in Shang hai.In1940s,the islands of Shanghai was the desert of spiritual atmosphere. Shi Jimei sticked to her view of aesthetic, and her creative ideas. By returning to traditionalChinese culture to search the spiritual home make her novels unique at the same timeshow the meaning in the modern society.My paper makes this point as a way of interpreting Shi ji mei’s spiritual world.Keeping watch the eternal love and ideal, making the morality perfect is Shi ji mei’slife philosophy and writing view. All these kind of things are associated with “familyplot” which deeply rooted in Shi ji mei’s hearts. Searching from the family blood rootto the root of the traditional culture is the special spiritual path of Shi ji mei. Keepingspiritual home reflect "beauty", the beauty of looking back, classical beauty and thebeauty of human nature ect. I’ve make the return of traditional culture combinatedwith the unique aesthetics as a thread throughout my paper.
