The Sociolinguistics Research Of Appellation Language Of Fortress Besieged

Based on Fortress Besieged under Qian Zhongshu, this paper makes appellationlanguage of modern literary works as the study object, mainly uses the theory ofsociolinguistics with the research method of the exhaustive statistics, the analysisinterpretation of subsoil with static and the dynamic combination. Then try to make acomprehensive investigation and analyzing at appellation language.This paper includes three chapters. The first chapter does research reviewed andputs forward this topic origin, the research object, the research theory and researchmethods.The second chapter describes and explains the appellation language system ofthe Fortress Besieged.It divides the appellation language into the qualitative function,which include relatives’ appellations, professional appellations, positions’ appellations,extensive communicative appellations and names’ appellations; the expressionfunction, which include respectful name, contempt name, modest name, witty name,nickname and abused name.The third chapter discusses the application characteristics and social culturalconnotation of the appellation language of Fortress Besieged from sociolinguisticperspective, which is the key of this paper. This section in the way of researching thecorpus of text induces appellation characteristics: the language style of humor andirony, the elegant and implicit literati style, the diversity of sources of the appellationlanguage. In addition, by combining the plot of text, this paper summarizes theideological and cultural connotation that the appellation language reflected, whichincludes the modern metropolis culture of Shanghai, intellectual Pathological culture.Through the social and cultural connotation that appellation language shows, theauthor implied dialectical criticism attitude towards Chinese intellectuals, the Chinesetraditional culture and western culture.The fourth chapter discusses the influencing factors of the appellation languageof Fortress Besieged. In the view of microscopic context, it analysis the affect of appellation language from five aspects: age and gender, education degree, time andspace, occasions, interpersonal relationship, motivation and attitude.
