On The "Zi Lei Jia Jie"(字类假借)Theory Of Ma Shi Wen Tong(《马氏文通》)

Zi lei jia jie(“字类假借’) theory is an important concept of Ma shi wen tong(《马氏文通》), it also is a key point to correctly understand the grammatical concept of Ma shi wen tong(《马氏文通》)On one hand,this theory basically solved the problem of temporary usage of word class in Classical Chinese;on the other hand,the Zi lei jia jie(“字类假借”)theory also has a close relationship with the criteria for the division of word class that Ma JianZhong held. By using the means of’Zi Lei Jia Jie’(“字类假借”)Ma JianZhong resolved the contradictions exisiting during establishing the Chinese word class system based on Western grammar famework.Although the Chinese word class system established by Ma JianZhong doesn’t effectively and comprehensively reflect the word class characteristics of Classical Chinese, but it actually shows the face of Classical Chinese. The contradictions exposed when Ma JianZhong elaborated the Zi lei jia jie(“字类假借”)theory Sparked the exploration and study on Chinese word class characteristics.The thesis is composed of introductory remarks, four chapters and a terse conclusion.The introductory remarks part elaborates the two different contents of Zi lei jia jie(“字类假借”)theory, elaborates former scholar’s studies on Zi lei jia jie(“字类假借”)theory and their research focal point, narrates and commentes their research results.Chapter one elaborates the connotation of Zi lei jia jie ("字类假借”)theory.Chapter two analyzes the example sentences reflecting conversion of word class.Chapter three indicates the types of Zi lei jia jie(“字类假借”)which reveala grammatical phenomenon that word class in Classical Chinese has more than one functions.Chapter four briefly enumerates the wrong example sentences of Zi lei jia jie ("字类假借”).When analyzing the transmutation of word class in Classical Chinese the thesis uses empirical method.
