In21st century, our exchange with other countries become more frequently because of the accelerating integration of the world economy. As an indispensable link in teaching, English teaching is facing new requirements. That is to cultivate new talents who can not only apply English but also apply it properly in intercultural communication. But how to coordinate English teaching and culture teaching is really a problem. This paper is going to discuss the problem in five parts:Chapter1introduction. Chapter2relevant concept and literature review. Chapter3research methodology and analysis. Chapter4content and implementation methods of intercultural education in college English teaching. The last part is conclusion.In this paper, documentary research, logical analysis and comparison are used to deal with several important aspects about intercultural teaching in college English teaching. With the aim of improving students’ intercultural communicative competence student-centered teaching pattern is used in practical teaching. All above is to develop students’ competence of integrated application of English.But in English teaching practice, influenced by our educational system, how to coordinate language teaching and cultural teaching is truly difficult. How to test cultural knowledge in the exam is a thorny point too. Teaching serves talent training, but at the same time, it subjects to educational system. So it is hard for teaching method to have a breakthrough, if our educational system does not change thoroughly.
