With the Chinese language getting more and more popular, the number of peoplewho is trying to learn Chinese as a second language is increasing sharply. TheChinese language—one of the most difficult language to learn in the world, makeslearners perplexed not only in pronunciations, but also in pragmatics, because of itslong history and culture background. There is a set of written form of Chineselanguage used in formal occasions. For learners learning Chinese as a secondlanguage, to accurately acquire the Chinese knowledge is very difficult. Whilecommunicating in Chinese, to use the proper form of language form is essential. Ifthe form of Chinese language can not be properly used, it will not only affect thecommunicator’s image, sometimes also directly influence the effectiveness ofcommunication. Boya Chinese textbook series are a set of Chinese teachingmaterials which is widely used in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Sincethere is no specific system now, the research of the style of Boya Chinese textbookseries means a lot. Literature researching and statistical analysis were used in thispaper, based on the four grades of Boya Chinese textbook series. With thecollection of stylistic features of textbooks, the writer investigated the style indistribution characteristics, and also summarized the problems. Last but not theleast, put forward corresponding suggestions.
