The translation is selected from two sets of the agriculture documentaries America’sHeartland which have been shown in several major television broadcast of the USA. Thevideo is nearly one hour, interpreted by the author according to the requirement.American’s Heartland is an agriculture documentary. It tells about the agriculture,farming and aquaculture of the heartland through the interesting story and narration, makespeople feel the fun of farm. It also focuses on education of agricultural knowledge for theyoung people, so that more people can realize the importance of agriculture.There are four parts in this paper: introduction, theoretical analysis of the process oftranslation, translation difficulties and case analysis, conclusion. The translator takes theoriginal video without subtitles and then interprets it, makes the audience have the samefeeling of the Americans. In this translation process the author have used the skills of interpretand sight translation, and Nida’s "functional equivalence theory". The basic principle of thistranslation is the pursuit of natural, closing and equivalence. In the conclusion part the authorlists the experience of this practice: If you want to be a qualified interpreter, you must have awealth of encyclopedic knowledge and basic skills of the translation, not only to translate theoriginal semantics, but also show the cultural and meaning of the original country.
