The end of the19th century and the early twentieth century, is a big upheaval inthe history of Chinese transformation period, because of the corrupt qing dynasty andthe western powers to carve up China, make the Chinese nation into an unprecedentednational crisis. The advanced Chinese have to explore the way of saving the nationfrom subjugation. The victory of the xinhai revolution, China’s feudal dynastycollapsed, artists began to realize that traditional painting has come to an end, with thedevelopment of capitalist economy in China and the spread of western politicaltheories, also a lot of the influx of western art, painting, the change of era is coming,they are no longer the painting looked at is the tool of self-entertainment, task. Buttake it as an expression of time, even use it as a survival struggle for saving tools tolook at. They west to Europe and the United States, Study abroad returned youngpeople pay attention to the improvement of innovation, they also realize that only by thepower of the individual to change the status quo of Chinese painting, it is very difficult. So,all kinds of oil painting society under the call of study abroad returned students areestablished, to China nearly, had a profound impact on the development of modern art..The establishment of the oil painting society, play together for the painterpainting skills provides a platform, they hold exhibition, together to promote the newartistic spirit. They open classes, the establishment of schools, greatly promoted thedevelopment of art education.
