Hunan Province is one of the main areas south of the Yangtze Riverand the late Shang Dynasty unearthed in the early Western Zhou bronzes.Ningxiang in Hunan, Shimen, Liling, Xiangxiang, Hengyang, owned Xing,Taoyuan, Chang Ning, etc. up to23counties and cities have archaeologicaldiscoveries, of which the most famous Ningxiang County.As early as the Neolithic period, the Central Plains region will havedealings with the south, until it more closely the Shang Dynasty. Thesewords of Mr. profoundly reveals the southern region of the Shang bronzesunearthed evidence of spread can range as business culture in the southernregion, which the "commercial culture but on the Yangtze River," raised anobjection.Since the business culture across the Yangtze River to the southernregion, Hunan Province naturally greatly affected Shang culture. Bronzesunearthed in Hunan province’s mainly in the late Shang Dynasty, in part orin either bronze ornamentation, inscriptions, and the Central Plains aresimilar in shape; another part on the shape, decoration all have strong localindigenous characteristics. This raises another controversial topic ofacademia-Hunan bronzes unearthed the source of the problem, whether itis the people sent by the supplier to bring these bronzes buried it from thenorth.
