Language is not only the main carrier of culture, but also an importantpart of culture. Ultimately, language is a carrier of history and culture.Learning a language need not just learning grammar rules individually, butalso should understand historical and cultural connotations the languagecontains. As a discipline develop to today, teaching Chinese to foreigners,both within the scope of their research or research itself, scholars both fromdomestic and abroad have reached a consensus, that’s teaching language mustbe combined with culture. Also it means that within the process of teachingChinese to foreigners, teachers should spread Chinese culture to students.However, which method we should adopt at each stage of Chinese teaching inthe spread of culture is benevolent see benevolence and the wise see wisdom.So this article aims to explain the feasibility and advantages of film andtelevision works in the spreading of Chinese culture in teaching Chinese as asecond language, and also explore how to make full use of the Chinese filmand television works to assist the spread of Chinese culture in class ofChinese teaching. Ultimately to explore teaching strategy that can be learnedby teaching practice.This paper is divided into four parts. Namely, the first part is introduction,introducing the background and significance of the topic of the research, aswell as literature review article which is associated with the object of studyand the topic of this article, ideas and research methods I will adopt. Secondpart try to demonstrate the necessity and feasibility of making use of film andtelevision works in the spreading of Chinese culture in teaching Chinese as asecond language through the relationship between them. Third part discussesthe principles in actual use of film and television works to spread Chineseculture in Chinese class. Fourth part proposes the concrete steps and methodsin making use of film and television works to spread Chinese culture inChinese teaching practices on the basis of the aforementioned theory with actual teaching.My paper attempts to cover theoretical research and practical effectrelated to the topics through proceed from the four parts. What’s more, I wantto outcrop the feasibility and shortcomings of the topic, which can be adoptedor improved in further research and practice.
