The Study Of Discourse Coherence And Grammaticalization Of Zaibu、Yaobu

In modern Chinese,the frequency of use of the two conjunctions yaobu、zaibu arehigher in spoken Chinese.Linguistists have studied a lot from the perspective of thegrammaticalizationn. Few study on their discourse coherence.This paper applies themethod of comparison to reveal the differences between these two words.As well asthe causes of the differences.This paper consists the following five chapters:Chapter one: The first chapter is introduction. It introduces the background,significance, researching method of this paper.We make a conclusion that theresearches are about semantics、semantic structure and discourse coherence.we alsooutline the lexicalization,subjective and subjectivity of zaibu、yaobu.Chapter two:The sementics and semantic structure.The unique sementic structuredepends on their own semantics.The semantic structure are (1)otherwise:S1,yaobu,S2(2)Or:yaobuS1,yaobuS2,(3)Advice:yaobu,S1,(4)No wonder:yaobu...ne.In the otherhand,The semantic structure of zaibu can be sumarized sa follows:(1)Inaddition:”TopicX,”S1,S2,zaibu,S3(2)Speculative:S1,S2,zaibuS3(3)Advice zaibu,S1different semantic structures have an influence on the discourse coherence of yaobuand zaibu.Chapter three: The study on the functions of discourse coherence of yaobu andzaibu In this part,we mainly use chen’s study on the coherence functions to analyzethe coherence functions of yaobu and zaibu. There are two ways to manifester thecoherences of yaobu and zaibu:the positions and the language units that yaobu andzaibu conect.At last,we make a comparison on the coherences functions betweenyaobu and zaibu in their subjective way,.the subjectivity of yaobu is higher thanzaibu. Chapter four:The lexicalizations and grammaticalizations of yaobu and zaibu First,we analyze the paths,motivations and mechanisms of yaobu and zaibu.in diatronic way.From the time aspect zaibu appeared earlier than yaobu on an-cient time.But the degree of lexicalization of yaobu is higher now. yaobu andzaibu share some similarities in the process of lexicalizations.Both are lexicali-zation from tran-layered structure.That ran became vageuer in its meaning andfinally disappeared.moved the lexicalization of yaobu and zaibu.Above all,thetrend of dual-tone of Chinese is one of the imporant motivation in the process.As for the differences:besides the function of subjectivity,yaobu works as inter-subjectivity which means higher subjectivity.Chapter five: make a conclusion and point out the short-comings.The paperanalyze deeply the discourse coherenc functions of yaobu and zaibu We breakthrough the limit of syntactic construction and find a new way to analyze the functionof yaobu and zaibu.In the other hand, we also study the motivations and mechanismof the lexicalizations and grammaticalizations In short,we try to make a dynamicanalysis on Chinese cohension yaobu and zaibu...
