This translation project materials are three documents related to North AmericanMennonites’ activities in China: Mennonites in China—Chapter7and Afterword;Bamboo Leaves—The Years of Dragon:1976and1988;a document report aboutMennonites’ students and faculty in Nanchong in2010.This translation project report is consisted of4Chapters. Chapter One narrates thetranslation project. Chapter Two illustrates the translation process. Chapter Three ismain part of this report and focuses on the case analysis; the author integrates the fourtranslation methods (equivalence, adding, omitting and cutting) with the translationpractice, presenting some typical sentences to illustrate how to use these methods tosolve translation issues. Chapter Four is a conclusion which shows that the translationproject and report writing updated the author’s translation ability as well as heracknowledge of the theory of informative text.
