| Friendly relations between Japan and China have a long history. As an important part of the Chinese cultural circle, Japanese culture is deeply impacted by the Chinese culture. Chinese characters, and a series of Chinese cultural has greatly contributed to the degree of civilization of Japanese society, make the Japanese culture becomes rich. Therefore, the study of Chinese characters and Japanese Kanji words has become an important research topic in academia.This paper studies the history of Chinese characters, Japanese Kanji, cultural and social impact. Through the comparative study, this paper finds that Sino-Japanese characters mainly divided into three categories:Anthropomorphism defined characters, homographs characters, the same shape category defined characters.The comparative study helps us learn Chinese and Japanese history and culture exchange, and it is also very important to the study of learns from China and Japan. |
