| Vocabulary and culture are inseparable. In the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language,vocabularyteaching and culture teaching should be synchronized. Foreign students are also learning the profoundChinese culture when they are learning vocabulary. On the basis of a conclusion of the previous scholars’researches,this paper concludes the common characteristics of cultural vocabulary from the aspect ofteaching Chinese as a foreign language. Furthermore,this paper defines cultural vocabulary into dominantculture words and recessive culture words on the basis of the extent of difficulty and the degree ofdefinition of culture words in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language. Then a more detailedconclusion and induction is carried out after that. On the basis of a new definition and classification ofcultural words, this paper puts forward several specific teaching methods for vocabulary teaching in theteaching of Chinese as a foreign language, in order to help boost the teaching of Chinese as a foreignlanguage,furthermore to promote the spread of Chinese language and Chinese culture in the world. |
