Since the1990s, with the advancement of industrialization and urbanization, andthe institutional barriers and opening, the scale of our country farmers cross-regionalflow grows, the number of migrant workers migrant workers increases year by year,followed by a growing migrant children mental health problem. At the end of2010,China’s migrant workers has reached200million, compared with more than7000children of migrant workers, including more than1400children trailing and morethan5800left-behind children. At the same time, the floating population children’spsychological problems cause the attention of the society, it is of great meaning tosolve the specific psychological problems of the floating people’ children, and thechildren of the floating population are in the important stage of education, the mostimportant task is study, and school adjustment is one of the important indicators ofmental health of children of the floating population. School adjustment refers to thephysical and mental adjustment, adolescents through active positive interactions withthe school environment, and focus on performance in learning adaptation,interpersonal adaptation, mood of learning to adapt to adaptation is good, the youth’sfeeling of the school is positive and pleasant.This research mainly divided into two parts: one is the school children of the floatingpopulation to adapt to the survey, through the questionnaire investigation andpreliminary grasp of the floating population children school to adapt to the situation.Next one is to improve migrant children school adaptation leve by the psychologicalcounseling, from X middle school the first grade of X30children of the floatingpopulation are tested. Before the psychological counseling in school adjustment scaleto a pretest of30subjects, and then they are randomly divided into two groups, namely, the experimental group and control group. At the end of the psychologicalcounseling for the experimental group and control group after the test, finally, after apretest statistical analysis of test data. According to the survey and psychologicalcounselling to the following conclusion:(1)There exists a mild school maladjustment of the floating population children’sschools adaptation.(2) Single factor variance test results the experimental group and control group aftersignificant sig=0.00<0.05, there is significant difference, and the experimentalschool adjustment score increased significantly, while the control group scored nosignificant change.(3) Through psychological counseling intervention to improve the level of migrantchildren’s school adjustment is effective.
