The thesis mainly focus on the design methodology of book contentcommunication. Book content is the fundamental base which initiates and directs,whereas book design is the indispensable condition which provides extensive power.Those two components work organically to integrate and enhance book value.Through exploring the “fusion interaction” within book design’s visualcommunication, the thesis streamlines the complicated design process. It’s not only away to conduct design, but also the presentation of designing diversity.Starting from the concept of “fusion interaction”, the thesis introduces what itmeans as well as where it comes from. Also the thesis explains the role that “fusioninteraction” plays in the book design, process and addresses the potential issues in it,so as to streamline the design process. Diving deep in the essential of “fusioninteraction”, the thesis extends the meaning of it to inspire designers to find theartistry way to conduct design. Last but not the least, by reviewing the history ofChinese book arts and arguing the plausibility of “fusion interaction” as well asdiscussing the future of book design, the thesis hopefully will enlighten those bookdesigners.On the basis of brilliant samples of current book design and related theories, suchas the theories of design arts, psychology, philosophy and aesthetics etc, the thesisexplores the plausibility and pursues the in-depth understanding to reach the dialecticunity between book content communication and book design methodology, that is,“fusion interaction”. Then the thesis addresses how to utilize “fusion interaction” toinitiate creation and solve problems, as well as provides outlook and direction forfuture book designing.
