Chinese calligraphy is long-standing and well-established. During the period of Qin and HanDynasties to Ming and Qing Dynasties, each dynasty has its own calligraphic character and seeks differentcalligraphic ambition. Thus, Chinese calligraphy forms various styles. Many scholars have written aboutthe epochal character of calligraphy, but this thesis just makes Comparative Study of the Jin Dynastycalligraphy advocate “Yun” and Song Dynasty calligraphy advocate “Yi”.The thesis divides into four parts. The first part will begin with discussing the definition of Yun, Yi. Itis important to have a comprehensive arrangement of the meaning of Yun, Yi, and then find the exactmeaning of Yun, Yi. At last, we can make a Comparative Study on the meaning and find the differences.The second part describes the forming and developing process of the theory of the Jin Dynasty calligraphyadvocate “Yun” and Song Dynasty calligraphy advocate “Yi” based on the ancient calligraphic theories.This part wills also analysis the phenomenon of advocate “Yi” in Jin and advocates “Yun” in Song. Andfinally makes a conclusion that the theory of that has a problem of cutting the inheritance and developmentof history, it is a narrow and one-sided perspective. The third part makes a comparison of calligraphy stylesof advocate “Yun” and advocate “Yi” from its forming reasons and character. On the formation reasons, welook at its historical origin, historical origin, historical origin and breakthrough. We analysis its inheritancefamilial, popularize social, the overall convergence and diversity of style on the performance characteristics.We can see that the basic reason of making calligraphy styles of advocate “Yun” and advocate “Yi” is thatthe calligraphers in Jin and Song Dynasties have different hierarchy and ideology. The fourth part explainsthe reasons of the prosperity of cursive with ideological trend of advocate “Yun”、advocate “Yi”formthe rules of cursive, The pursuit of calligrapher’s group,and the objective condition. At the same time, wemake a summary of the malpractice in the development of cursive and find out the Beneficialenlightenment that ideological trend of advocate “Yun”,advocate “Yi” brings to the development of thecursive.Conclusion part doesn’t belong to the nominal content of paper, but it expounds the meaning and valueof the comparative study about the Jin Dynasty calligraphy advocate “Yun” and Song Dynasty calligraphy advocate “Yi”, highlighted the link between academic research and practical problems.In conclusion, the author thinks that, only if we truly understand the differences and relations of theJin Dynasty calligraphy advocate “Yun” and Song Dynasty calligraphy advocate “Yi”, we can have a morecomprehensive understanding and awareness of the calligraphy in Song and Jin Dynasties, and we can openup a new era with the help of ancient and contribute the prosperity of contemporary cursive.
