On Liuxiyi’s Yuefu And Gexing Poems

Liu Xiyi is an influential poet of Tang Dynasty, his YueFu and GeXing poetriesexperienced a procession from the early Tang Dynasty to the golden stage of TangDynasty,and they were valued gradually. Liu ’s poetries are not so much, but thesepoems in terms of style, content, style are unique. His poetries not only inherited thetradition of homeliness、simplicity and politeness from the YueFu of the Han Dynasty,and also opened up a new situation,covered a variety of styles and forms,and thesepoetries were also be seen as the originator of Tang Dynasty, his poetries also createda the new paradigm for the later literature. In this paper, based on the point of viewfor reference, first we will discuss the theme and content, language style and featuresof Liu Xiyi’s Poetries, then analyze and study Liu Xiyi’s Poetries in the early period ofthe Tang Dynasty’s status and influence on later generations, to explore thefar-reaching significance of his poetries’ creation.
