The Study On The Theme-warmth In Tang Sulan’s Fairy Tales

Tang Sulan is an outstanding writer among the writers of contemporary children’sliterature,she has written and published more than40works. She was awarded by WangQuangen the honor of one of the "fifth generation" writers of children’s literature which wason behalf of the future of children’s literature. Unfortunately, although Tang Sulan’s works arepopular with young readers,her works are paid less attention in the academic circle.Tang Sulan’s fairy tales are full of warmth and love. With her magic pen, she hasconstructed a world which is filled with love. However, the studies on it are not systematicand the cause, formation and content are not presented to us in detail,either. Thus,its theme"warmth" becomes the research object of this thesis, which can make more people knowabout Tang Sulan. This thesis also expects to make a breakthrough when compared with theprevious studies.This paper is divided into four chapters, the first chapter is about "warmth and children’sLiterature", which mainly clarifies "warmth" and its necessity and importance of thechildren’s literature, the importance in warmth and love for the healthy growth of children, thenecessity of warm and freedom during the growth of children and the rationality of"warmth"in the works of children’s literature.The second chapter is about " the formation of warmth in Tang Sulan’s fairy tales",whichmainly discusses the cause of the formation of "warmth",the view on children and herattitude.It also expounds the influence of her childhood on her view on children.The third chapter is about " the content of the theme in the fairy tale of Tang Sulan",including:expression of love andwarmth;the praise of empressement,goodness and beauty;profound philosophical meaning; picturesque artistic conception; the warm feeling in theprocess of growing up.The fourth chapter is about"the expression of Warmth",which mainly discusses how todemonstrate the theme of "warmth"and the study on Tang Sulan’s fairy tales with sometheories such as Narratology, Aesthetics, Child Psychology.The conclusion part points out the value and contemporary significance of Tang Sulan’sfairy tales in contemporary children’s literary. It makes a conclusion of the overall style ofTang Sulan’s works,the importance of Warmth for children’s growth and the prospect of herfuture creation of fairy tales.
