The Compilation And Examination To Historical Materials Of The Pre-qin Guzhu

Guzhu is a feudal country of the Shang Dynasty located in northeast Hebei Province andwestern part of Liaoning Province. It is a famous ancient civilization of the North of Chinathat has a very long history, such as in the academic circles has almost become a consensus.But because of its old age, we can’t see more the literature and archaeological materials. It isresulting in Guzhu once became a mysterious ancient country. For nearly100years, with thedeepening study of the Shang and Zhou dynasties, more and more scholars began to payattention to the Guzhu. They found a lot of new historical resources, also published a numberof academic achievements, which makes the Guzhu state historical and cultural outlook evenclearer.This paper is divided into five parts, the first part is the introduction, introduces thebackground, importance, other scholars’ achievements of the research to Guzhu, and my ideaand methods. The second part is the historical examination and textual criticism to the name ofthis state and the surname of its emperor from three resource, bronze, Oracle and ancientbooks. The third part is to the location of Guzhu, mainly to the region and the capital. Thefourth part is to the social historical materials of Guzhu, from four aspects of historical,political, economic and cultural narrative. The fifth part is the appendix, is a examination andtextual criticism to the main elite of Guzhu.
