Project Report On The Translation Of Development Plan For Nanning International Metropolitan Leisure Tourism Zone

Nanning is the permanent host city of China-ASEAN Expo. As the participants of the Expo have an increasingly extensive communication with Nanning, Nanning draws great attention of visitors from these countries with her natural scenery and abundant ethnic culture. Development Plan for Nanning International Metropolitan Leisure Tourism Zone is thus worked out for the development of MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) tourism in Nanning, pointing out the focuses and directions, and its translation serves for the publicity and cooperation in tourism to promote the tourism development in Nanning.This is a Chinese to English translation of Development Plan for Nanning International Metropolitan Leisure Tourism Zone, which presents the objectives, development strategies, analysis of resources, and distribution of tourism resources in Nanning.This report mainly discusses the preparation of translation, including translation tools, background information, parallel texts and analysis of the source text; the translation process, including the use of translation tools and translation methods; analysis of the problems and related solutions by listing examples; and summary of the experiences of the translation, such as the usage of SDL Trados.This report records the whole process of translation, summarizes the translator’s work for experience accumulation, and offers some advices to other translators of similar texts.
